A Dedicated Partner in Your Healing Journey
Silver Lining Psychiatry was founded with the belief that meaningful psychiatric care requires depth, curiosity, and collaboration. Mental health symptoms rarely exist in isolation: they reflect complex interactions between brain biology, life experience, relationships, stress, and personal history. Effective treatment begins with understanding that full picture.
At Silver Lining Psychiatry, every patient is evaluated and treated directly by a trained physician. We believe the complexity of mental health deserves the depth of medical training that comes with physician-led care, ensuring every diagnostic and treatment decision is informed by years of specialized education and clinical experience.
Dr. Jared Silverberg, founder of Silver Lining Psychiatry, is a University of Chicago-trained psychiatrist who brings both academic rigor and psychotherapeutic depth to his work. During his training, he not only refined his clinical expertise in diagnosis and medication management, but also pursued advanced studies in neuroscience, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Dr. Silverberg has experience working with patients across the age spectrum, from children to geriatric, as well as patients with complex medical histories. He has worked in a specialized OCD treatment clinic alongside a nationally recognized OCD psychiatrist and has also gained extensive experience in student mental health, ADHD evaluations, LGBTQ+ healthcare, and addiction medicine.
My treatment philosophy is intentionally not focused on simply prescribing medication as quickly as possible. I view medication management as an opportunity to understand what is happening in a person’s life, why symptoms may have developed or persisted, and what combination of treatments is most likely to help.

Finding a “silver lining” does not mean minimizing struggle. It means working together to uncover clarity, strengthen internal tools, and build a steadier foundation for the future. The goal is not just symptom reduction, but a deeper sense of understanding, agency, and balance.
Accessible Support
Telehealth offers greater flexibility, eliminates travel and waiting rooms, and makes it easier to maintain consistent care despite busy schedules, work/home obligations, or life transitions.
Thoughtful Care, Wherever You Are
Mental health care should fit into your life—not create another barrier to getting help. Silver Lining Psychiatry is a fully virtual practice, allowing you to receive comprehensive psychiatric care from the comfort and privacy of your own home or another secure location. Our goal is to make getting help feel easier, gentler, and more within reach.
Your privacy is our priority. Every telehealth visit is conducted through a secure, encrypted platform to ensure a protected clinical environment. Telehealth doesn’t mean distant care. You still receive thoughtful, evidence‑based psychiatric treatment from a psychiatrist who knows you and your story.
Your Own Space
Appointments attended from a familiar environment can often feel safer to open up and be more vulnerable with your psychiatrist. You can show up as you are, in a space that feels calming to you.
Evidence Informed
Research has consistently shown that for most outpatient psychiatric conditions, telepsychiatry is as effective as in-person care while providing high levels of patient satisfaction.
Who We Treat
Silver Lining Psychiatry treats patients with all psychiatric diagnoses, with a specific focus on depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). We provide comprehensive, personalized care for individuals seeking to strengthen their mental foundation and build lasting resilience through both medication management and integrative psychotherapy.
Accepting patients 18+
Silver Lining Psychiatry offers secure telehealth services in full compliance with current Illinois and federal mandates. For our patients' safety and convenience, we can prescribe controlled substances (Schedule II–V) via live video sessions when clinically indicated, following updated national guidelines extended through 2026. Please be aware that these telehealth policies may be adapted as legislative requirements evolve. To ensure high-quality care, every prescription is provided after a formal mental health assessment, risk monitoring, and verification through the Illinois Prescription Monitoring Program. We are committed to maintaining a safe, professional, and therapeutic digital environment for your ongoing wellness.
